Georgia Pacific is seeking a qualified Project Engineer for the Gurdon, AR plywood mill. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual and display personal ownership of Safety, Manufacturing, and Operational initiatives while working effectivity in a Team Environment to create the greatest long-term value for GP.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Responsible for all aspects of project execution at the facility
Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills
Create and engineer drawings in AutoCAD for mill projects and maintenance activities
Support mill compliance with laws and regulations in the design & implementation of projects at the facility
Drive safety in design culture for all improvement projects
Ensure employee and contractor compliance with mill safety policies
Support manufacturing and maintenance activities with engineering. principals, expertise, and leadership in solving and improving the processes and procedures in the facility
Work with Operations and Maintenance to identify new potential projects and develop capital funding requests
Work with purchasing to obtain bids and conduct value analysis, as well as cost estimates and budgets
Manage projects requiring coordination between outside consultants, contractors, and mill personnel
Assist in checkout and start-up activities, conducts post-completion audits of capital and repair projects
What You Will Need:
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering & project experience that must include scope development, bidding/purchase, and installation/setup of heavy industrial and manufacturing equipment
Competent use AutoCAD
Experience in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project
Effective communication skills (preparing project documents, presentations skills, etc.)
What Will Put You Ahead?

Qualifications:
PE engineering certification
Experience in the wood industry
Project engineering experience
