What You Will Do Lead a team in the production process and take ownership over production, safety, and qualityFacilitate team development in communication, safety, technical skills, problem solving and resolution through encouraging employee ownership, humility and accountabilityConduct safety training for crew members, promoting a proactive safety culture, delivering training materials meaningfully and engaginglyEncourage employee involvement in continuous improvement initiativesProvide guidance and feedback to maintain a positive, productive, and safe working environmentAssist in resolving production issues and monitor product quality though the states of productionCoordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless production, inspection, and shipping processManager records, documentation, and reporting according to compliance standardsMonitor product quality and provide direction to crew members to maximize efficiencyWho You Are (Basic Qualifications) Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment leading teams of 10 or more employeesProven track record in coaching, counseling, and developing employeesExcellent communication and collaboration skills, both with employees and across departmentsProficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant programs or ability to learn for maintaining records, data, documentation, and reportingAbility to work night shifts and other assigned shifts, with a flexible schedule as neededAbility to work in a manufacturing plant environment, which may include extended periods in noisy, non-airconditioned, or unheated areasCommitment to work safely and adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) What Will Put You Ahead Experience in a wood products manufacturing environmentAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneursThis means we openly challenge the status quo, find new ways to create value and get rewarded for our individual contributionsAny compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market dataThe actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic locationIf you have questions, please speak to your recruiter about the flexibility and detail of our compensation philosophy.
